PROFILE OF NEIL CLOETE
Neil is the CEO of the Liviero Group.
Neil completed a BSc Building Science degree as a Grinaker bursar, graduating from the then University of Natal in 1985. He remained with that Group fulfilling many positions, including:
• Regional MD, Building, and
• Group MD, Building.
In 2004, he was appointed to the Board of Grinaker-LTA. In 2007, he was appointed Grinaker-LTA Group Managing Director and to the Board of Aveng (Africa) Ltd. After overseeing the 2010 infrastructure spend including Soccer City, Nelson Mandela Stadium, the Gauteng Freeways, The CT Airport Upgrade, Medupi Power Station, Neil left the Corporate World in March 2010. After a 1 year sabbatical he joined a private business, the Liviero Group as its CEO in March 2011.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and is registered with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management professions. He has been the recipient of awards including Concrete Achiever of the Year. Rotary has bestowed on him the District Governors Citation for significant contributions made to community service projects. Neil was also awarded the Master Builders (MBSA) Presidents Award for contributions made to excellence in Safety in the Built Environment.
Neil is married with two children. He has completed many cycling events around the country but now prefers his motorbike and is preparing for Cape to Cairo in 2014. Other interests include Scuba Diving & Golf.
